Make a Choice: Organic Fruit VS Non-Organic Fruit

Many people are fully aware that harmful chemical pesticides can stick to food they consume. It is only natural that consumers will want to reduce exposure. Kids are vulnerable to bug killers especially at the time that their internal organs are still developing. This is one of the main reasons some people choose to purchase organic.

Organic fruit, for instance, is healthier due to the presence of more nutrients. It is also more sustainable. Certain fruits and even veggies contain higher residual pesticide compared to others. Organic fruits that you should purchase are apples, grapes, cherries, nectarines, pears, peaches, strawberries, and raspberries. Refrain from washing fruits with detergent or bleach solutions. Fruit can take in these chemicals.


How do you dry organic fruit? Bear in mind that moisture can reduce the sweet flavor. Dry the fruit at once after washing. Use only clean dish towels or paper towels. You can put small fruits like berries in layers with strips of paper towels in big container to dry up the remaining water. Nutritious food is a key to staying healthy. Thus, eating clean organic fruits can be a vital part of your healthy eating objectives.


If you wish to consume organic fruit, give your full support to organic farmers. Supporting them will reduce the amount of pesticides that enter will flow through our streams where these chemicals can harm marine life and even end up in the potable water supply of residents in affected communities. Sales of organic produce like organic fruit have gone up during the past few years. However, the figures are still very minimal compared to non-organic produce. This is the issue right now and something that organic advocates need to address immediately. Consumers should also lend a hand especially if they value their health and that of family members.
